4th match: Kei Nishikori (JPN) defeated Dudi Sela (ISR) 6-3 3-6 4-6 6-4 7-5 after an epic match.
5th match: On his 26 birthday, Amir Weintraub (ISR) defeated Go Soeda (JPN) 6-3 7-6(5) 4-6 6-3, and sent Isarel back to the Davis Cup World Group. Happy birthday Amir, and thank you for this great victory!

At the end of the 2nd day, Israel is leading the tie 2-1. Two final singles matches are waiting for us tomorrow, starting 13:00 Japan time.
In the 1st match Dudi Sela (ISR) is supposed to play against Tatsuma Ito (JPN), but Kei Nishikori (JPN) might play instead of Ito.
In the 2nd match, Amir Weintraub (ISR) will play against Go Soeda (JPN).

Gilad Shalit visited the Davis Cup team after Israel won the doubles rubber against Portugal.
Gilad showed interest in the players' plan for the upcoming clay season and asked them if they're planning to practice on the clay courts of Ramat Hasharon.
Andy Ram presented Shalit a team shirt with a special inscription on it:
"Gilad, It's a big pleasure to have you with us, we are excited and feel that you are a part of our team. With lots of love, Israel's National tennis team"
